EUA helps to build strong universities for Europe through activities and services aimed at supporting their development. These activities include policy dialogue, conferences, workshops, projects, and more targeted services such as the Institutional Evaluation Programme, an independent service dedicated to doctoral education and new tailor-made consultancy services under the EUA Solutions brand.
Influencing decision making at all levels: EUA represents universities’ interests and lobbies on their behalf in the development and revision of European policies, programmes and funding instruments. EUA formulates evidence-based policies, and produces studies, reports and online tools using information collected from members, which it feeds into policy debates on crucial issues for universities.
Enhancing institutional developments by sharing expertise: EUA organises a wide range of mutual learning activities – including projects and events. These are designed to enable universities to share best practice, knowledge and insights and to seek advice on key issues they have identified: these include funding and financial management, governance, quality assurance and management, lifelong learning and collaborative research.
