EUA webinar: Ten Principles for Enhancing Learning & Teaching at the European level

We propose a set of ten European Principles for the Enhancement of Learning & Teaching. They aim to serve institutional leaders in their quest to ensure the quality, relevance and attractiveness of higher education, and in engaging into discussions on learning and teaching within institutions. Join us on 1 February for a lively discussion on these Principles and their implementation.

In an ever-changing world, where knowledge is developed, transmitted and applied at an ever-faster pace, universities need to re-emphasise their education mission and enhance their learning and teaching strategies.

Since December 2015, EUA is coordinating the European Forum for Enhanced Collaboration in Teaching (EFFECT) project, funded under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission and formed by a consortium of 12 European project partners, including national rectors’ conferences, universities and associations active in the field of higher education. As part of this project and of EUA’s work in exploring Learning & Teaching at European universities, ten European Principles for the Enhancement of Learning & Teaching have been put forward. They are non-prescriptive and have been developed through a range of discussions with multiple European higher education institutions and associations and their representatives. In addition to serving the university community, they are also intended to inspire and facilitate ongoing cooperation in this field among universities and between local, national and European initiatives.
