The conference should be of interest to institutional leaders (Rectors, vice rectors, heads of administration), as well as other organisations involved in educational policy: social partners, employers and senior government officials.

EUA aims to ensure participation of all members who desire to attend EUA events. However, each event has a limited capacity and to guarantee a certain balance between country and institution representations, EUA may have to restrict attendance to one representative per individual member and two for collective members. Therefore EUA reserves the right to refuse registrations if there are too many participants from any one country or from one institution. Priority will be given to those who register early.  The early registration deadline is 10 September 2009.

Fees are received by the host university in order to cover the cost of the organisation.

The participants’ fee (members and non-members) includes attendance at the conference, all documentation, coffee breaks and lunches at the conference, Reception and Opera on Thursday and Cocktail and Dinner on Friday.

The companions’ fee includes tourist information folder, participation at the Reception and Opera on Thursday and Cocktail and Dinner on Friday, one half-day guided walking tour and one excursion.

The participants and companions’ fees do not cover travel and accommodation expenses or post-conference programmes.


The registration will be confirmed by an email. However, please note that your registration will be completed and considered final only when your payment has been received by the host university. Deadline for registration is 24 September 2009.


Registrations will not be processed without payment. The registration fees have to be paid upon confirmation and prior to the event either by bank transfer or credit card. Credit Cards Payments can only be accepted if paying by Master Card or Visa. The delegate assumes full responsibility for paying all bank charges associated with the payment.

Conference registrations cancelled on or before September 10, 2009 will be entitled to a 50% refund. For cancellations received after September 10, 2009 or if the participant fails to attend, no refund will be made. Substitutes will be accepted at any time provided that the conference service office is informed of the change. Neither EUA nor Justus Liebig University in Giessen will be liable for any losses, accidents or damage to persons or objects, regardless of the cause. Participants and companions attend the conference and all related events at their own risk and responsibility.
