    The University of Aveiro invites applications for the position of director of the following departments: Communication and Art, Geosciences, Mechanical Engineering and the Aveiro Health School.

    The European Studies Institute of the University of Piura, Peru and the Babeş-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania are organising the 13th European Culture Conference between 29 and 31 October 2015 at the Faculty of European Studies (Babeş-Bolyai University), Cluj-Napoca. The call for papers is now open and the deadline for submission is March 31, 2015.

    Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) is organising a seminar on 19 March 2015 in Brussels on ‘Ideas, tools, resources and a big picture — all you need to know in alumni engagement’. Michael Gaebel, Director, Higher Education policy, EUA will also be speaking at the event.

    The Joint Degrees from A to Z (JDAZ project) has published a guide providing information on relevant issues relating to developing, establishing and sustaining international joint programmes, which lead to a joint or multiple degree.

    The Global Access to Post-Secondary Education (GAPS) initiative in association with Sunway University, Kuala Lumpur is organising a conference on ‘Access to Higher Education, Meeting the Global Challenge, Kuala Lumpur’ on 5-8 October 2015. The event will focus on articulating access to post-secondary education as one of the key global trends shaping the 21st century.

    The University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) is a key event for academics, researchers, practitioners and business representatives involved in university-industry interaction, innovation and entrepreneurship. Around 400 participants are expected to attend the event to share knowledge and interact.

    The Second International Science 2.0 Conference will take place from March 25 to 26, 2015 in Hamburg. This year’s conference aims to discuss Science 2.0 in the context of related and already established topics, such as Citizen Science, Open Access or Big Data Analysis.

    The third annual International Higher Education Forum provides insights into the latest developments, trends and opportunities for universities on the internationalisation agenda.

    The ASEM University-Business seminar will take place in Brussels the on 4 March 2015. The seminar will focus on the education side of the University-Business cooperation and will involve discussion on different issues, for example, how higher education can contribute to social, economic, technological and cultural innovation and to what extent trans-regional university-business cooperation could ensure that graduates can successfully operate in international/global environments.

    To commemorate its 650th anniversary, University of Vienna is organising an international conference UVIECON 2015 ‘Global Universities and their Regional Impact’ on 13 March 2015. Rectors and presidents of renowned universities from Europe, Asia and America debate the role of global universities in stimulating regional development.
