New Funding Opportunities: Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window, ERC Advanced Grant Scheme, and Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships

14 December 2007

The European Research Council (ERC) has announced that it will channel around four billion Euros over the next six years into its new Advanced Grant Scheme.

More detailed information on the new grants and how to apply are available on the ERC website.

Meanwhile, the European Commission has also published a second call for proposals for the Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways scheme.
Finally, the Commission has also announced details of a new call for the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window (not to be confused with the Erasmus Mundus Programme and its various actions). The programme is a co-operation and mobility scheme, complementary to other higher education initiatives (such as Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus, Tempus, Asia-Link) that are designed to foster co-operation in the field of higher education between the European Union and Third-Countries through a co-operation and mobility scheme addressing students and academic staff. Please note the new call does cover a number of new geographical regions.
