EUA launches Open Access survey 2016

01 December 2016

EUA would like to invite its members to participate in its Open Access survey 2016. The aim is to develop a European and comprehensive view of the degree to which institutional policies on Open Access to research publications and research data management have been developed and implemented in European universities.

EUA_Logo_Open ScienceThis survey is a follow-up to the 2014 and 2015 editions and has been revised and updated in collaboration with the EUA Expert Group on Science 2.0/Open Science. The survey is an integral part of EUA’s work in this policy area, including the EUA Roadmap on Open Access to Research Publications.

The survey results will further inform EUA’s work in policy dialogue at the European level, as well as serve to develop further initiatives on Open Access and Open Science to support European universities. The outcomes will complement and strengthen the results of the parallel, ongoing initiative on “big deals” with publishers that EUA is carrying out in collaboration with the national rectors’ conferences.

EUA therefore encourages all its members to take part in this important survey in order to strengthen the voice of universities in this policy area.

To participate in the survey, please click here. The deadline to respond is 31 January 2017.
