Registration is now open for the Fourth Arab-Euro Conference on Higher Education (AECHE 4). Hosted by University Mohammad V in Rabat, Morocco from 24 to 26 April 2017, the event will focus on research collaboration and capacity building among Arab and European universities.
The conference is addressed to university leadership from both regions, as well as heads of doctoral schools, individual scholars and project leaders involved in bi-regional research collaboration in energy, water and sustainability and from sciences, engineering and social sciences. Policy makers and representatives from enterprise and innovative industries related to the issues will also be present.
Participants will explore how universities can develop research capacity and collaborations, addressing issues of high national, regional and global priority such as water, energy, and the related environmental and sustainability challenges. In tackling these specific and strategic topics, the conference will discuss more generally the question of how Arab and European universities can work closer together in promoting research and research-based education. It will also explore relevant policy and funding frameworks and seek to provide concrete recommendations for policy making at the inter-regional level.
AECHE was established in 2012 as a joint initiative between the Association of Arab Universities (AARU) and EUA, with the collaboration of the University of Barcelona.
Registration is open to representatives of member universities of AARU, EUA and UNIMED. For further information, please see the conference programme.
