IEP registration open until 2 July 2018

31 May 2018

The registration period for the 2018/19 round of the Institutional Evaluation Programme (IEP) is open until 2 July 2018. Details of how to register are available here.

IEP offers comprehensive, improvement-oriented institutional evaluations conducted by a team of experienced higher education leaders. The evaluation process and resulting report and recommendations aim to support institutions in developing their strategic leadership and capacity to manage change. All evaluated institutions are permitted to use the ‘Evaluated by IEP’ icon for a period of five years after the evaluation.

IEP uses a context-sensitive approach, which allows institutions to address issues of concern across all areas of activity. Beyond this, IEP also offers the possibility to select a special focus for the evaluation: internationalisation, or management of research and use of research results. The focus is approached within the context of a full institutional evaluation, but is given special attention throughout the evaluation process, providing more in-depth analysis and recommendations.

“IEP offers an independent view. It makes a difference when an external authority with friendly intent names the pressing issues. The legitimacy to promote structural changes becomes much stronger”, says Jiri Chvatal, Department of Analyses and Strategies, Charles University, Czech Republic.

You can find out more about how IEP works and the impact it has had on recently evaluated institutions by watching our webinar recordings and exploring our website.

If you have any questions about participating in IEP, you can contact the IEP secretariat at info@iep-qaa.org.

As an independent quality assurance agency, IEP is listed in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) and is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). Since its establishment in 1994, IEP has conducted over 400 evaluations of diverse institutions in Europe and beyond.
