EUA is pleased to announce that registration is now open for EUA’s 2016 Annual Conference that will take place at the National University of Ireland, Galway on 7-8 April 2016. The theme of the conference is “Bricks and clicks for Europe: building a successful digital campus”.

EUA has recently launched a survey to showcase the commitment of universities in supporting refugee students, academics and university staff. Higher education institutions in almost all European countries are responding to the refugees arriving in Europe by providing them shelter, advice and assistance in dealing with local authorities, and helping them to participate in cultural and sport activities.

The recent high-level conference “Lund Revisited: Next steps in tackling societal challenges” which took place on 4-5 December 2015 in Lund, took stock of the progress made since the 2009 Lund Declaration that prepared the way for Horizon 2020.

On 24-25 November 2015, the first workshop on “Universities Promoting Regional Innovation across Europe” took place in Madrid, back-to-back with the first meeting of EUA’s Expert Group on Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation (RIS3).

    EFFECT Project kicks off

The development of pedagogics and didactics for higher education teaching is an area of growing importance for universities. The EFFECT project (European Forum for Enhanced Collaboration in Teaching), a three-year project co-funded by the EU, assesses the feasibility of a European level structure that would support the enhancement of university teaching.

EUA is pleased to announce that registrations are open for five events this coming spring as part of the EQUIP project (Enhancing Quality through Innovative Policy and Practice).
