Bologna Promoters - what do they do? Print Email this page

In line with the National Bologna Promotion Plan developed in each country by the Socrates-Erasmus National Agency in co-operation with national authorities and other relevant bodies, Bologna Promoters are involved in a varied set of activities. Depending on the countries, national teams of Promoters carry out different types of activities:

  • internal coordination meetings;
  • organisation of thematic seminars and conferences for academics, administrators, other types of institutional staff, students and external stakeholders;
  • institutional site visits;
  • helpline work;
  • development and maintenance of a website;
  • drafting guidelines and recommendations on specific topics (how to define learning outcomes, how to introduce ECTS, etc.) and targeted flyers to promote and explain the Bologna Process;
  • participation in events organised by different types of stakeholders at national and international levels;
  • drafting articles published in academic journals;
  • participation in national working groups in charge of elaborating legal regulations/frameworks;
  • publication of reports on the state of implementation of the reforms in the country’s higher education institutions.
