"Strengthening Higher Education in South East Europe: Priorities for Regional and European Cooperation"

In the framework of the Austrian EU Presidency 2006, EUA organised in partnership with the University of Vienna, the thematic seminar "Strengthening Higher Education and Research in South East Europe: Priorities for Regional and European Cooperation".
The seminar gathered university leaders and other institutional representatives from South East Europe, in particular institutions in the Western Balkans and neighbouring EU accession countries, to outline key points for an action agenda to strengthen higher education and research in the region, and to ensure full integration in European cooperation structures.
The seminar focused on the following three themes:
- Research and Innovation
- The Bologna Process
- Institutional Reform and Development
The outcomes of the meeting were presented to the European Education Ministerial Conference on 16-17 March 2006 in Vienna:
