A picture of Pamina is enough to captivate Tamino and make him fall in love forever. But Pamina and Tamino are not to come together that easily: dangerous serpents have to be killed, wild animals have to be tamed, and they have to withstand the murderous Queen of the Night. In the end they even have to go through fire and water to seize Sarastro’s temple of wisdom.
The internationally acclaimed director Gerd Heinz is an absolute connoisseur of Mozart’s music; the conductor is Giessen’s music director Carlos Spierer.
