  • Internet Room and Wireless connection
    There will be an Internet Room in the Rectorate of the Universidade de Lisboa. Wireless connections will be available in most of the rooms of the convention venue.

  • Dress Code
    The dress code for the Welcome Reception and Reception is smart casual.

  • Working language
    English will be the working language of the convention.

  • Weather
    Lisbon has a pleasant climate throughout the year. In March/April the weather is mild with temperatures around min. 10º C and max. 17º C.

  • Time
    The time zone in Portugal is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which means one hour behind on the Central European Time (CET). The correct time in Lisbon can be checked on the website of the Astronomy Observatory of Lisbon.

  • Currency and Banking
    The Portuguese currency is the Euro.

    Bank services are available at the airport, throughout the city and there are several close to the conference venue. Banks are open from 08.30 to 15.00 with no lunchtime closing. The city is very well supplied with ATM cash dispensers, which take most major credit cards.

  • Entry regulations and Visas
    All citizens from countries outside the European Union need a valid passport, and depending on the country, a visa may be required.

    Please consult the Portuguese Consulate or Embassy in your own country for questions regarding entry regulations and visas.
