Getting Around Print

HOW TO REACH THE UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW

From the Warsaw Central Railway Station “Dworzec Centralny”:

  • By bus: Take the direct line No. 175 (direction “Pl. Pilsudskiego”) at the bus stop called “Dworzec Centralny”, which is located in front of the Marriott Hotel, just opposite the Central Railway Station. The bus stop of the University of Warsaw main gate is called “Uniwersytet” (fifth bus stop). The journey takes about 20 minutes; a single fare ticket for zone 1 costs 2.80 PLN.
  • By taxi: there is a RADIO-TAXI stand in front of the Central Railway Station

From the Warsaw Chopin Airport “Lotnisko Chopina”:

  • By bus: Take the direct line No. 175 (direction “Pl. Pilsudskiego”) at the bus stop called “Lotnisko Chopina”, which is located on the ground floor level, right in front of the entrance door to the departure hall. The bus stop of the University of Warsaw main gate is called “Uniwersytet”.  The journey takes about 40 minutes; a single fare ticket for zone 1 costs 2.80 PLN.
  • By taxi: There is a RADIO-TAXI stand in front of the Chopin Airport at ground floor level, right in front of the entrance door to the departure hall.

From the Warsaw Main Bus Station “Dworzec Zachodni”:

  • By bus: Take one of the following lines: No. 127 (direction Brodno-Podgrodzie), 130 (Wilanow), 158 (Witolin), 517 (fast line, Targówek), N35 (night bus, Dw. Centralny) and get off  at the bus stop “Dworzec Centralny”. Change to bus line 175 (direction “Pl. Pilsudskiego”), which is located in front of the Marriott Hotel, just opposite the Central Railway Station. The bus stop of the University of Warsaw main gate is called “Uniwersytet” (fifth bus stop). The journey takes about 30 minutes; a single fare ticket for zone 1 costs 2.80 PLN.
  • By taxi: there is a RADIO-TAXI stand in front of the Warsaw Main Coach Station “Dworzec Zachodni”.

Tickets for public transport can be purchased from newsagents (kiosk), ticket machines (at some bus/tram stops or buses such as 175) or from the bus driver (costs 0.50 PLN more).

Taxis

We recommend participants only use official taxis managed by the Radio-Taxi. These can be recognised by the sign “Przewod osob” on the taxi door, as well as by displaying the phone number and fare rate information.
