Taxi
There are several taxi companies in Salzburg. Taxis can be hailed from the street or called on +43 662 8111, +43 662 2220 or +43 662 1715. The price consists of a basic rate (approx. €3) plus the price for the length of the route. A short ride within the city limits should cost approx. €10.
Car Parking
The old city of Salzburg is more or less closed to vehicular traffic, unless one has special permission to access the area (such as for hotel accommodation). Drivers have to pay tolls when using the highways. Charged parking places are available in sufficient numbers but free parking space is very rare.

What to See in Salzburg
In your conference bag you will find a brochure with a city map of Salzburg and a description of the main tourist highlights. The Salzburg Tourist Information office is located in the old town at Mozartplatz 5.
Shopping
Shops in Salzburg are usually open from Monday to Saturday from 9:00-18:00. Some shops in tourist areas will be open on Sunday as well. Main shopping streets are the Getreidegasse, Judengasse and Linzer Gasse.
