Dear colleagues,

I would like to invite you to Charles University in Prague to take part in the 5th EUA Convention of European Higher Education Institutions.

The Convention will take place during the wonderful, energising time of early spring in the beautiful city of Prague. It will be hosted by Charles University, which is celebrating 660 years of uninterrupted - even though oftentimes turbulent - existence. The agenda of the Convention will be important, as it will provide the position of European universities to the last regular meeting of the ministers of the Bologna process in Leuven. Fittingly, this coincides with the Czech Republic’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Convention will also be significant for EUA itself: the new President will take office and a new Board will be elected.

I am looking forward to welcoming you to an exciting and remarkable Convention in a beautiful city.
