MODERN Conference on Funding, London, UK (29 January 2010) and Survey on training needs for leadership and management professions
MODERN is a European platform which looks to promote the modernisation of higher education management.
The platform is organising a conference on funding that will be based on an executive report on the state of funding reforms in European higher education institutions which will be made available to all registered participants prior to the conference. It will build on existing literature, current and previous work on funding issues in higher education. The conference will start with a networking dinner on 28 January. On 29 January, the programme will be split into morning plenary sessions with senior level speakers, i.e. policy makers and decision-makers from academia and the private sector, and afternoon highly specialised workshops on key themes linked to funding issues.
The platform is also carrying out a survey on ‘Training needs for leadership and management professions in European Higher Education Institutions’ and would like universities to participate.
