German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) elects new President

Professor Horst Hippler, President of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), was elected as President of the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) for the term from 1 May 2012 to 31 August 2015 at the HRK´s recent General Meeting in Hamburg.

Professor Hippler succeeds Professor Margret Wintermantel who accepted the post of President of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) earlier this year.
